Connecting Permaculture

Please use these offerings for potential inspiration!

  • Wild Earth Farm and Sanctuary “is excited to be a part of the growing community focusing on vegan permaculture, growing food for ourselves and our communities, and taking responsibility for the care of abused, neglected, or abandoned farmed animals.”
  • Spiralseed offers a “full online Permaculture Design Course is led by Graham Burnett, author of The Vegan Book of Permaculture. As we continue to face the consequences of our unsustainable lifestyles, it’s becoming ever clearer that we need to find new ways of living in harmony with the earth. Permaculture is a design philosophy that mimics the relationships and systems found in natural ecosystems. It emphasizes the use of renewable resources, diversity, and cooperation, to create sustainable communities and ecosystems.”
  • Tolhurst Organic “We are one of the longest running organic farms in the [UK]. We have been looking after food and land for over 40 years. Our organic certification with the Soil Association began in 1976. We produce our vegetables without by-products from animal farms and we were the first farm in the world to be awarded the Stockfree Organic Standard.”
  • Vegan Organic Network “is an educational charity, founded in 1996. We are the only organisation in the UK solely dedicated to veganic farming and growing. Vegan Organic Network created the first Stockfree Veganic Farming Standards in 2007. Our mission is to be a world-wide movement of veganic farmers, growers, producers, consumers and supporters, which will raise awareness, influence policy and educate people about the principles and benefits of veganic agriculture.”
  • The Microsanctuary Resource Center goal is “to continue providing support and information for microsanctuaries to help provide safe homes to rescued animals who typically aren’t considered “companions”–not just farmed animals, but other species like rodents, fishes, and even insects who are exploited in various ways but rarely treated like members of the family, in the context of anti-oppression and liberation activism.”
  • Animal Help Now “Animal Help Now provides immediate and appropriate assistance for any wildlife emergency, coast to coast. Animal Help Now’s database includes more than 3,700 helpers, including wildlife rehabilitators, rescues and hotlines, as well as veterinarians who treat wildlife. Animal Help Now even offers access to businesses that humanely resolve conflicts with wildlife, such as raccoons in attics and skunks under porches. The Animal Help Now program not only serves people who are trying to help animals – and by extension serves the animals themselves – it also serves animal emergency professionals.”
  • Living With Harmony “embodies a sincere effort to meet that ever-growing need, and to heal, inspire and transform the lives of people, animals, and the planet, through the education of “PLANET-Based Living. Together we can create a more harmonious life through a conscious way of living, and connecting with animals and nature.”
  • Free and/or Reclaimed Resources in the Front Range Area

“Contact with the soil reminds us that we are an integral part of nature, rather than feeling shut out and excluded. The simple acts of growing and eating our food, recreating habitats in which nature’s diversity thrives, and taking steps to live more simply are practical ways of living that connect us to an awareness of Nature’s seamless whole. Permaculture is a spiritual re-connection as well as an ecological strategy.”
