What is Animal Reiki?
Reiki, also known as spiritual energy, is open to anyone who wishes to receive it.
When I offer Animal Reiki, an individual’s agency is centered. To allow this loving space of deep relaxation and ongoing agency in the healing space, we see their perfection in the present moment and tune into the wise and compassionate teachings of any being.
Animal Reiki is used by animals if they want to receive the healing energy (they usually do!) and wherever they need it. I don’t direct anything besides holding space with the meditation. The animal(s) lead the meditation itself, which offers a wonderful, and perhaps new, sense of agency.

How long does an Animal Reiki session last?
Animal Reiki sessions can last up to 60 minutes. I’ll also let you know when I’m starting the Animal Reiki session and when I’ve finished.
Is Animal Reiki only for one human or animal at a time?
Animal Reiki can be offered to multiple individuals in a single or a series of sessions.
Can Animal Reiki support social justice efforts?
Yes! Activists experiencing compassion fatigue, moral injury, or burnout can benefit from Animal Reiki. Activists interested in a healing space to re-boot their mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual strength can benefit as well.
Where does someone need to be during an Animal Reiki session?
I ask that everyone finds a comfortable and quiet space during the Reiki session with minimal or no distractions. If you like, I’m happy to share a YouTube link with calming music that could be played at a low volume during the Animal Reiki session.
How will I know if an animal is in the Reiki space?
You may notice they are sleeping, pacing, then lying down, taking a short nap, sitting or lying, or generally starting to relax. These are just some of the signs of being in the Reiki space. If you notice anything different in the next few days, I’d love to hear about changes in behaviors since the Reiki was offered.

Join me in a calm and meditative space. Reiki can be offered at your home, in a park, or in another quiet space that you enjoy. In-person and distance sessions include an initial client consultation that lasts 15 minutes. Animal Reiki sessions are offered in the Greater Denver Area up to 30 miles from 80011.

Alaina gave our Lady Bug a Reiki session during her vestibular attack episode this past week. My cat Oscar had a Reiki session with Alaina earlier this year. It just so happened that he was on his window shelf next to my computer for the session, so I was able to keep a close eye on him.
